Dear Rinpoche,
On behalf of your many students and friends world-wide, I am delighted to
be able to send you details of the Green Tara mantras you asked us to
recite from December until Losar.
People have been sending me mantras from all over. They have been reciting in
the USA, South Africa and Europe. I received many from India when some
people were attending the Monlam. Also from others who were travelling
around and they emailed from different ports of call. All of these
mantras, in total 1,703,281
were said with much affection and open hearts and in the spirit of togetherness. They
are dedicated for you, all your projects and your Sangha, and also for the
benefit of all beings.
May
you be very happy and healthy in this year of the Female Earth Ox, and
for many many years to come.
May you continue to spread happiness and joy with your smile, your stories, and infectious
laughter.
May all your projects and Sangha flourish and grow in harmony, working with you for
the benefit of all.
And may you always remain with us, sharing the Dharma, caring for us
all with your wise and loving heart.

TARA MANTRA:
OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SO HA
A message from Margaret Ford:
Dear
friends,
I asked Ringu Tulku if there is any practice or prayers that would be helpful
for him and the Bodhicharya mandala. He told me that he had also asked this
recently of one of his Lamas and he had been advised to perform 100,000
Tara praises. He said it would therefore be good if all his students and sangha
could recite as many Tara mantras as possible before the end of the Tibetan New
Year.
The Tibetan year ends on 25th January 2009 and the Tara mantra is shown
above. I would be grateful if all of you could please join us in reciting
the mantra as much as possible. Please keep a count of your recitations and let
me have your number of mantras either every week, or as often as you please, until or
by February 24th 2009,
I'll keep a record for everyone. I'll then let Rinpoche know how many
mantras we have accomplished together by Losar. It will be our New Year
gift to him and each other.
As you recite the mantra please think of a positive and compassionate energy
coming from your heart and surrounding Rinpoche and all of us, whether as
Bodhicharya centres or groups or individuals, think of this positive and loving energy
field expanding and reaching out to all beings, and dedicate all merit for
the benefit of all.
