Footsteps of the Buddha DVD
Pilgrimage to India & Nepal with Ringu Tulku
As a thank you to Ringu Tulku Rinpoche for all his untiring kindness, patience and generosity students of Rinpoche have compiled this special trip in celebration of his life.  It is hoped that those who could not make the journey can share this experience in the comfort of their own home, whilst others who were there can have a special souvenir of this amazing visit.

The proceeds will help fund Ringu Tulku’s projects in Sikkim & Tibet which include; The Retreat Centre in Sikkim & Rigul, Tibet, Health Clinic & School.

Any donations received over £10.00 or €15.00 would be greatly welcome and will receive a DVD or VIDEO of this wonderful passage; in the foot steps of the Buddha.

PEACE VIGIL – SOUTHAMPTON

PRAYERS FOR PEACE which was held Sun 6th July 2008, 14:00-15:00pm, Queens Peace Fountain, East (Andrews) Park, Southampton (off Brunswick
Place)

The event was very successful, despite the unsettled weather the turn-out was good, and the weather settled just in time – the rain stopped and the sun shone for the whole event (we were very fortunate)!!

We had several speakers offering poems, prayers and information concerning the situation in Tibet.

Claire introduced the event, Mick Garrett spoke about the situation in Tibet and read the words by HHDL, 'One Family',  David spoke about the Tibetan Society, and Ilse read a piece from Shantideva, which was lovely. Ian recited 'words of Truth' - which we all recited, we then said prayers while we circumambulated the peace fountain, we finished with the four immeasurables, dedication and long life prayer HHDL. - it was a lovely afternoon, people brought tea & cake to offer, everyone came together and I think its given us the confidence to do something similar again!!!

It would appear the situation in Tibet has dropped out of the news, not because anything has been resolved, or that the Chinese government has finally responded positively to the peaceful and constructive advances being proposed by the Dalai Lama; but because there is still no news coming out of Tibet; due to all foreign journalists having been banned. Let’s hope our presence has made a small impression. The event was advertised in the local press and we hope they will publish some pictures and a small article of the event - watch this space.

Also wanted to thank everyone who attended and helped make the day a successful one, special thanks also to Rinpoche, Mick, Ian, Ilse, Jules, David, Margaret & Jude. Many thanks for your help and support!!!

much love Claire x
